Teen Reading Lounge Observers' Orientation
You are cordially invited to the Pennsylvania Humanities Council's orientation for Teen Reading Lounge (TRL) observers.
In addition to learning more about TRL, you will learn about:
- Your role in developing a best practices manual for TRL, a book discussion program for young adults
- Preparing for your role as observers
- Collaborating with TRL libraries and their facilitators
- Observers' protocols
In addition, you are invited to lunch where you will have the chance to get to know your TRL library staffer and facilitator.
2012-13 Teen Reading Lounge is a collaboration with the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. The development of the best practices manual is a collaboration with the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, as well as the University of Pittsburgh's Western Pennsylvania Writing Project and Allegheny Intermediate Unit.
